Potenza combines fine, insulated micro-needles with radiofrequency energy delivered precisely into the dermis. The needles trigger your skin's repair response; the RF heat remodels collagen and tightens from within. The result over 8–12 weeks is firmer skin, refined pores, softer acne scars and a smoother neck and décolleté — with 24–48 hours of pinkness rather than weeks of downtime.

Prices in CAD before HST. A series of 3 sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, is the standard protocol for scars and laxity; single sessions suit maintenance.
How it works
1Skin assessment and photos; topical numbing cream for 30 minutes.
2Depth and energy are set per zone — shallower around the eyes, deeper on the jawline, neck and scar tissue.
3The handpiece stamps the area in a grid; most clients describe warmth and pressure, 3–5/10.
4Soothing serum and SPF. Pink for 24–48 hours, slight tightness like a sunburn; make-up the next day.
5Collagen builds over 8–12 weeks. Sessions 2 and 3 are spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
Who it's for
Mild to moderate skin laxity on the face, jawline and neck
Enlarged pores and uneven texture
Acne scars and surgical scars (all skin tones — RF does not target pigment)
Crepey décolleté, abdomen laxity and stretch marks
Clients who want tightening without surgery or filler volume
Limitations & who should wait
· Not a facelift: it tightens and refines but will not replace lost volume — Sculptra or filler does that.
· Not for active acne breakouts, open lesions, eczema or rosacea flares in the treatment area.
· Wait if pregnant or breastfeeding, on isotretinoin in the last 6 months, or with a pacemaker/metal implants in the zone.
· Results are gradual; expect to see the full change at 3 months, not the next morning.
Safety & follow-up
· Health Canada-licensed device; single-use sterile needle cartridges.
· Insulated needles protect the epidermis — safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types, including those not suited to IPL.
· Performed by a medical aesthetician inside an RN-led clinic; your plan is reviewed by Karine Lauzon RN.
· Written aftercare; avoid sun, saunas and actives (retinol, acids) for 72 hours.
Frequently asked questions
How much does RF microneedling cost in Ottawa?+
Most Ottawa clinics charge $500–$900 per session for the face. Our fixed prices are $599 for the full face, $799 for face + neck, $449 for the neck alone, and $1,799 for the three-session acne-scar package. Prices are before HST and are the same online and in clinic.
Potenza vs regular microneedling — what is the difference?+
Regular microneedling creates micro-channels only. Potenza adds radiofrequency heat through insulated needle tips, which remodels collagen deeper and gives measurable tightening — especially on the neck, jawline and acne scars.
How many sessions do I need?+
Three sessions, 4–6 weeks apart, for scars or laxity; then one maintenance session every 6–12 months. Texture and pores often improve after the first session.
Does it hurt and is there downtime?+
With numbing cream most clients rate it 3–5/10. Expect pinkness and mild swelling for 24–48 hours, then a few days of faint dryness. You can wear make-up the next day and work the same day.
Can RF microneedling be combined with other treatments?+
Yes. The RF + Redensity 1 Glow ($999) adds a skin-booster for hydration; RF + Full Upper Face Botox ($1,099) is a popular same-visit pairing. HydraFacial is best 2 weeks before or after, not the same day.
